About Us
The Science Education Community (SEC) MERLOT Portal is being developed by the MERLOT Science Education Council consisting of individuals from higher education; the K-12 educational community; professional organizations and societies; the CSU Chancellor’s Office; and the California Department of Education.
The purpose of the SEC portal is to provide future and current science teachers with user-friendly access to a wealth of valuable information and links to outstanding digital resources for teaching and learning science including those found in MERLOT and the National Science Digital Library (NSDL).
